It's Time to Get OUT of the Kitchen!

Just around the corner is a long weekend followed by the holiday season and you are undecided about what to do. Do you do stuff around the house, do you go and visit family and friends, or is everyone coming to your place?

These are just some of the questions that get asked around this time of the year. In a couple of weeks it will be Labor Weekend, then November with Thanksgiving, and then you hit December with Christmas, Hanukkah, and Kwanza.

Some people have traditions that they follow each long weekend or holiday and others face the task of deciding what to do. Long weekends and holidays can be stressful times for families as they decide what to do. This year you go to this family for Thanksgiving and this one for Christmas. Next year you switch. Or maybe relatives live close enough where you go to two places for Thanksgiving or Christmas. Traditions are wonderful, but with the way the world is today families are spread far and wide and having an entire family descend on one house for a weekend or a holiday can be stressful.

There's the lawns to do; the house needs to be cleaned and have some repairs done; you have to clear out the spare rooms; make up the beds; decide where the kids all go; find homes or hotels for the overflow; shop for huge amounts of food to feed everyone, not mention all the food prep and cooking that then follows. Then there are not enough seats at the table; people tripping over each other trying to help out; etc. The list goes on and on. How is one to enjoy time with their family with all this going on? If it were me I would be exhausted and in need of a relaxing vacation after everyone goes home!

Well, it is time to get out of the kitchen and do something that will benefit everyone and allow you to spend more time with your family. It's time for everyone to get together and go on a cruise! Just think about all the benefits of the cruise and all the stress and worry it will save you.

On a cruise, you have a team of chefs and cooks to do all the meal planning, shopping, food prep, and cooking. A team of wait staff to wait on you and serve you food. Stateroom Stewards to make up your room and even your bed, give you fresh towels, clean your bathroom, turndown your bed, etc. Wait staff throughout the ship to bring you your beverage as you sit around a pool or in a lounge and enjoy time with your family. If the kids want something to do then each cruise line has its own kid’s club areas that have age appropriate activities for the kids. They will keep them entertained for the day while the adults enjoy some kid-free time.

How about enjoying a show together as family? Each cruise line has theaters and lounges where shows are scheduled, some even require audience participation. Some cruise lines have ice rinks onboard and you can watch an ice show!

Guys then even have cigar lounges for you if you wish to partake, or how about practicing your golf swing on a golf simulator? For the gals there is shopping and the SPA!

Cruise ships are really floating resorts; there is something onboard for everyone. Then when the ship docks in different ports you then have shore excursions available ranging from bus tours to ATV tours, from walks to zip lining, lazing on the beach to snorkeling or scuba diving. There are many activities to do at each port...oh and I can't forget the most important one...shopping!!

As you can see there are many ways that taking a cruise will get you out of the kitchen and more face time with your family. So why not save yourselves the hassles and call us to book your family holiday or weekend cruise.
